Since 1986, Project Self-Sufficiency (PS-S) has been assisting low-income single parents in their efforts to achieve economic independence, and become free from community and government assistance.

Nurse-Family Partnership
Nurse-Family Partnership is a nurse home visiting program that improves the health, well-being and self-sufficiency of low-income, first-time parents and their children.

Cocoon Enterprises, Inc.
Offers a wide array of education for families in the childbearing year, including childbirth preparation, nurturing pregnancy, and breastfeeding classes. Cocoon Enterprises receives grant funding to provide access to these services for all families regardless of the ability to pay.

Realities For Children
Serves the needs of abused and neglected children in Larimer County. This private organization effectively creates a safety net of services so that the most vulnerable members of the community are provided for.

The Sulayman Jungkung General Hospital - Bwaim, The Republic of The Gambia, West Africa
With the installation of solar panels, the Sulayman Jungkung General Hospital will have a reliable power supply to provide clean running water. The hospital will have power to run incubators. Refrigeration means vaccines are safe and a blood bank can be established.

WomenGive - Fort Collins, CO
By improving access to educational opportunities, childcare and other services, WomenGive funds programs and legislation that furthers women's self sufficiency.

BELLAS  (Breastfeeding Encouragement, Learning, Liaison, and Support) - Charlotte, NC
"This program is recognized as a viable resource for low income, minority and teenage mothers who often lack the resources to obtain lactation assistance. Your donation will enable BELLAS to train 6 peer counselors. The peer counselors gain a new sense of empowerment and confidence that is life-changing. By helping other mothers, they are helping themselves and their own families."

The Maternal Wellness Center - Philadelphia, PA
The Healthy Mom's Initiative provides holistic birth education programs to low-income women. These programs include yoga and nutritional counseling, the benefits of breastfeeding, making informed decisions on birth and baby care, and developing healthy relationships.

Mountain Park Environmental Center - Beulah, CO

“What a summer of camps! Our campers backpacked, rode horses, hiked the trails, learned about trees and ecosystems and had the time of their lives. More than half of the children who participated in our Summer Camps required a scholarship to be able to have this experience. Thanks to your donation, 46 children who otherwise would not have been able to attend camp, got to spend many precious hours having a blast in Nature!”

Birds and Bees, Flowers and Trees Program through MPEC

A weekend program for teen girls ages 12-15. Using a blend of sex education and nature education, this program empowers girls to be comfortable and knowledgeable about their bodies and the world around them in order to make healthy choices, care for the environment, and have thoughtful relationships.

LLL Peer Counselor Program Donation Profile

The LLI Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program has led women from welfare to work by providing education, communication, counseling skills and on-going personal and breastfeeding support. The program was originally designed to reach mothers in low income minority populations who have a low incidence of breastfeeding and traditionally have had limited or no access to breastfeeding information and support. The BPC Programs have been very successful at finding minority mothers who have breastfeeding experience and who are committed to promoting breastfeeding in their communities.

Woman's Hospital - Baton Rouge, LA
“We have all seen the devastating affects Hurricane Katrina had on Louisiana and Mississippi. Since the hurricane, Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge has taken in many critical babies and new moms whose home towns were affected by the storm. Simply Retail was able to purchase infant car seats at cost for the hospital. Because of your generous donation, we have been able to donate over 50 car seats to Woman’s Hospital!”

American Red Cross
